Palm Sunday

So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out,

“Hosanna!
Blessed is he who comes
in the name of the Lord,
even the King of Israel!”

(John 12:13 ESV)

  2. even the snowpeople will cry out in praise...if these people do not praise me, then these rocks will...you get the idea...we brought the palm branches home from church and my older son was making a snowman in the yard...

  3. Well, I'll bet they didn't wave their palm branches while trudging through a foot of snow, but i'm loving it in St. Louis today. Everthing is iced in white and trees are festooned in fleece. Gorgeous! Glad you could capture a bit of it pictorially. Kel, just have to share my Palm Sunday Sheridan story. When she was little, I was trying to teach her the Easter story, using Resurrection Eggs as props. I taught her what the crowds cheered when they waved their palm branches, when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. Later in the day, when we went for a walk, I started quizzing her to see what she remembered, and came to that story.
"Sheridan, what did the people say when they shouted and cheered for Jesus and waved their palm branches?"
And without missing a beat, she joyfully proclaimed,
    "OH SUSANNA!!!!"
Out of the mouths of babes.......

  4. Snow ain't my favorite this time of year ... but we're buried in it, too. BUT the palm is a real heart/soul/spirit treat.

    Thank you.

    1. Snow this time of year does seem odd for us, too...but it is such a beautiful reminder of how Jesus covers our sin with his sacrificial love!

  5. Kel, I'm just now getting to this.......your emails don't show up on our school computers. This would make Jesus smile.
Well, it made me smile. Hosanna!
